Physical Therapist, MS Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy (Manual Therapy)
Alessandro was born in Vicenza (Italy) on October 25, 1998.
Passionate about sports since childhood, he eventually fell in love with basketball, starting to play at the age of 7 and continuing until he reached Serie C with Sportschool Dueville in Vicenza (Italy).
Motivated by the desire to pass on his passion and to promote the sport in his hometown, at 18 he began coaching the youth division of the team. This love for sports and the wish to help others appreciate what sports can offer became part of his character, leading him to enroll in the Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Padua (Italy) in 2017.
After graduating, he began working in the field with the basketball team and in a clinic in the Vicenza (Italy) area.
After a year of work, he decided to broaden his knowledge and moved to Belgium to pursue a Master's Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physical Therapy at KU Leuven University, specializing in Manual Therapy.
During his Master's studies, he took part in several research projects at the Movement Analysis and Learning Laboratory (MALL) of the KU Leuven Institute of Sports Science, focusing on the use of motion capture and force plates for biomechanical and kinematic analysis of the knee.
He took advantage of the Masters program opportunity to complete an internship in Florida (United States) where he focused particularly on Low Back Pain cases. More recently, he has taken an interest in triathlon and sport climbing, and he continues to train in various sports despite his professional commitments.
Alessandro joined the Sports Rehab team in the summer of 2025.
You have to believe in yourself: he who says he can and he who says he can't, are both usually right
