Physical Therapist, MSc Sports & Exercise Medicine

Born in 1999 and raised in Genoa (Italy), Alexandra developed a strong passion for sport and physical activity from an early age, with a special connection to swimming and aquatic disciplines. She practiced competitive swimming for many years, also becoming an instructor, an experience that further nurtured her interest in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation.

She graduated in physical therapy from the University of Genoa (Italy) in 2021, gaining clinical experience in musculoskeletal physical therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation. During her clinical practice, she worked with a general population, supporting post-traumatic and post-surgical rehabilitation, pain management, and functional recovery in adults, adolescents, and elderly patients. She also collaborated in the field of hydrokinesitherapy.

In 2023, she moved to Dublin (Ireland), where she completed a Master's degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine at Trinity College Dublin, deepening her understanding of athlete management and the broader principles of exercise-based rehabilitation, including the promotion of movement and health in the general population. During her time in Ireland, she also practiced university rowing with the Dublin University Ladies Boat Club, gaining first-hand experience of many aspects related to physical preparation, recovery, and training principles explored during her studies.

In 2024, she returned to Genoa (Italy) and continued her clinical work, also collaborating with Pro Recco Waterpolo during the 2024/25 season. She currently focuses on orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation for both amateur athletes and individuals of all ages who engage in physical activity or require functional recovery in daily life, addressing a wide range of movement- and function- related conditions.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors between the sea, mountains, and nature, practicing and exploring different sports, traveling, and reading.
