Occupational Therapist

Leonardo was born in Modena in 2001.

From his years at scientific high school, he developed a strong interest in health sciences and therapeutic relationships, progressively choosing to pursue a university degree in Occupational Therapy - a person-centered discipline focused on restoring functional abilities and improving quality of life through meaningful and personalized activities.

In 2024, he earned a Professional Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, a program combining theoretical education with clinical placements across the various areas of the profession. Among these, hand and upper-limb rehabilitation progressively became the focus of his specialist training.

During his studies, he trained at the Hand Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinics of the Policlinico di Modena AOU, where he gained in-depth experience in specialist clinical practice and developed his undergraduate thesis. This experience led him to continue his professional development within the same department after graduating, further strengthening his clinical skills through voluntary activities, advanced practice, and a growing interest in scientific research applied to rehabilitation.

In 2025, he completed a Level I Master's Degree in Hand Rehabilitation at the University of Milan, consolidating his specialist training in the assessment and treatment of hand and upper-limb conditions through an evidence-based approach and a commitment to continuous professional development. He subsequently obtained recognition of his professional qualification in Switzerland as an Occupational Therapist and began collaborating with Ergomano Rehab in Lugano - a leading center in Ticino for hand and upper-limb rehabilitation, working in synergy with Sports Rehab.

This journey marks the beginning of a clinical career focused on advanced specialization, continuous professional development through annual postgraduate courses, and the advancement of an evidence-based rehabilitation approach within a multidisciplinary and international environment.

Medicine add days to life. Occupational Therapy add life to days.
